Separate visibility, inputs and effect

Displaying the result, clicking and asking the customer are different steps. In Search Console, you can analyze performance by query, page, and country. Indexing state and address inspection help clarify whether the problem starts earlier than the user's selection of the result.

Combine these observations with forms and sales data, but don't expect identical numbers between systems. They differ in definitions, registration moment and scope of available data. Consent restrictions and blocking of analytical tools also affect the picture.

Compare comparable periods

Save the period length, device and subpage group. Separate branded queries from others. In a seasonal company, comparison with the previous month may suggest success that is mainly due to the season.

Interpretation example

Traffic on the guide is growing, but the number of requests for the service does not change. Check whether the article reaches potential customers, whether it has a reasonable link to the offer and whether the form works. Don't automatically assume that you need to publish more texts like this.

Keep a log of changes

For each major implementation, record the date, addresses covered, reason, and expected direction of change. Note migrations, outages, changes in pricing, availability and advertising. Without this, the graph shows the effect of many events that cannot be easily separated from each other.

The average position is an auxiliary indicator. Changing the query set can change the average even when important pages have not lost visibility. Verify query groups and specific addresses.

End the report with a decision

Prepare four short parts: work done, changes observed, possible explanations, and next tasks. When the number of conversions is low, do not draw far-reaching conclusions from a single week. Show citations in AI separately, with the name of the tool and the scope of the report.

FOR USE IN PRACTICE

Your checklist

  • Separate brand inquiries from offer inquiries.
  • Make sure your conversions aren't counted twice.
  • Record deployments and events that impact demand.
  • For each recommendation, indicate the data and limitations.
